If you have a domain through Squarespace already, it is super simple to transfer to your new site. If your domain is through an external provider you will have to change the DNS settings. I provide information about how to do this in my bonus tutorials.

Something that's great about my templates is that you get the fully designed site delivered to you without needing to do any DIY building yourself! Unfortunately, that does mean that you can't apply it to your existing website directly.

If you already have a Squarespace website, you will need to copy and paste any existing content into your new Custom Squarespace Template and then transfer your domain from your current site to your trial site. It is possible to host more than one site on the same Squarespace account so you shouldn’t have any problems.

In my bonus tutorials, I provide instructional videos on how to add your content and transfer your domain. Your template also comes with a custom-designed "Under Contruction" page to smooth the process as you get your site perfect and ready to launch!

All of my designs come with custom Canva templates! Canva is an incredible free online graphic design platform. In order to edit them, you will need to create a free account. Some templates may contain elements only available in Canva Pro, but don't worry! Canva offers a 30 free trial so you can have plenty of time to edit and download your graphics and then cancel your subscription before you get charged. That being said, Canva Pro is a great resource with amazing features so you might consider keeping it!

Nope! Canva is all that you'll need to edit your graphics.

Yes! You can edit every part of the template including fonts, colors, layout and images. Also, you can easily insert your existing logo, make a new one with Squarespace's built-in logo maker, or use the template's logo as a base design. I encourage you to use the template for guidance, but definitely edit the design to make it unique to you and your business.

Definitely! The beauty of Squarespace is that it is very flexible. In every template you can duplicate pages/sections, delete pages/sections, hide pages from viewers until you are ready to use them or add new pages.

No building required! Within 48 hours of your purchase, your template is delivered to you fully built looking exactly the same as the demo site. The only thing you need to do is customize your graphic templates, pick your colors, and add your content. I believe that adding your content yourself is the best way to learn how to use your website and make edits down the road, but if you would like help with getting your website set up or customizing it to your branding, I do offer Template Customization Services.

No coding knowledge is required! Occasionally, I will add a feature or design element to improve a template using some small snippets of code. That will already be inputted into your site when you receive it. I will also provide a document in my bonus tutorials with the copy + paste code and instructions on how to add it for your reference.

The great thing about Squarespace is that it's DIY friendly. But to make it even easier, when you purchase one of my templates you also get access to my Squarespace 101 videos which walk you through the basics and everything else that you need to know to customize your template and get your website launched!

You have lifetime access to the template and how-to content, so you can take as long as you need to customize it! Once you've received your template, you do need to add yourself as an administrator within 48 hours, but once you have done that, you’re good to go.

Absolutely! Just be sure to add both your and your client’s emails as administrators once you receive your site. Keep in mind that it is required that you purchase a new license for every website that you build with that design. (One purchase = One website).

If you have all of your content ready, you could launch your site in as little as a few hours! For others, it can take weeks or months, So, it's hard to say.

I would recommend scheduling time to sit down and really focus on it and following the instructions in the order they are presented, so you can get your site launched ASAP!

Yes! Squarespace offers a built in, simple e-commerce store function for your website which you can add to any template. It is available on Business plans or higher.

Absolutely! You are not required to have an online shop for any of my templates. If you like, you can simply set the shop page that comes with your template as an unlisted page. That way you can always add it back in later if you want a shop and the design will already be ready to go!

Currently all of my templates are only compatible with Squarespace 7.1 Fluid Engine, but I may add some Squarespace 7.0 templates in the future!

Squarespace 7.1 is a newer version of Squarespace which has been streamlined to be even more easy to understand and navigate. It also features Squarespace’s New Fluid Engine. Squarespace 7.0 is the very popular version of Squarespace which was around for a long time before this newest release. It has some additional features not currently available in 7.1, but it is a little more complicated to learn and navigate in the back end. It is still widely used and supported by Squarespace.

I have built custom websites using both and they are both great options. All of my templates are currently built on 7.1, but I may offer more templates built on Squarespace 7.0 soon! Squarespace has used the “Classic Editor” for many years now, so if you have used Squarespace before you likely have used this editor. Recently, they have launched a new editor called “Fluid Engine” (for 7.1 only).

While both Fluid Engine and the classic editor use drag-and-drop technology, Fluid Engine also uses a grid system—with more block arrangement, background setup, and content customization options. It offers a finer level of control over the design as well as more flexibility when it comes to mobile!

All of my templates for 7.1 use the new Fluid Engine.

If you go into the the left panel of your website, scroll down the bottom, and click on Help you can find the version of Squarespace that you are using. If you are on 7.0 it will also tell you the name of the template that is currently active.

At this time Squarespace doesn’t have a “simple” transfer solution but don’t be discouraged, most people transfer with fairly easily. You will have to copy & paste your content into the new template.

The short answer is yes! It is possible to transfer some content directly over to Squarespace from Wordpress. You would then need to copy and paste that content into your new template. I provide links to some helpful Squarespace articles on how to make the switch in my bonus tutorials!
